Our Partnerships

Many churches, faith-based charities and organizations across the United States have answered the call to help transform the lives of children in Nicaragua, one of the poorest countries in Central America. Through strategic philanthropic partnerships Nicaragua’s most vulnerable children receive essential support and hope.

“The work operated as a business. The team had goals, objectives and metrics to measure how the holistic feeding programs were making children healthy. The nurses (CDAs) were using tablets to record and measure child nutrition information. The leadership was meeting with church pastors regularly and frequently,” Hotchkiss reflected. “Operations were running effectively and everyone was performing to defined tasks.”

Nourish stood out as an investment. Citing Philippians 4:17, John wanted to share his investment with his local church.  When John and his family invested in Nourish, they directed their funds through their local church to facilitate God’s work in the church in Nicaragua.

Hamilton Smith decided to visit Nicaragua through the encouragement of one of his parishioners. As Smith launched St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, he wanted his parish to be involved in engaging lives locally and globally.

St. Thomas’ Anglican connected through video correspondence with a Local Church Initiative in Nicaragua. The two churches formed an instant bond and began praying for each other.

“We learned so much from our friends in Nicaragua. This trip only solidified our desire to be part of what God is doing beyond the four walls of our church and especially in Nicaragua.”

ORGANIZATION AND GIFT-IN-KIND (GIK) PARTNERSHIPS

Our first port-of-call in implementing our child transformation strategy is addressing the debilitating impact of malnutrition on children under 5 through Nicaragua humanitarian aid. Our core front-line interventions in creating a stable platform of physical health include consistent food security, nutritional supplements, deworming, access to safe water, and ensuring moms deliver healthy babies.

We source most of our food from GIK partners featured below, offering tax-deductible charitable giving Nicaragua opportunities for businesses. We pay only for shipping, which is substantially cheaper than in-country food purchases. The food is readily prepared by local cooks from churches and supplemented with local ingredients to provide nutritional variety and stimulate the local economy.

Additional U.S. charity organizations have provided new shoes, as well as reused desks, chairs, and other furniture, creating business impact giving with measurable results for children in Central America.
